Twenty minutes into the match Scotland are sliced apart when Elano slips a ball to Jadson and his shot is spilled by McGregor but there are no Brazillians to get the loose ball. A minute later Leandro Damiao heads just over the bar from a corner. Just before half time Neymar collected a low cross just inside the penalty area to curl a low shot past McGregor and give Brazil a half time lead. Just seconds into the second half Neymar almost doubled his goal tally when he clipped the bar. With 15 minutes remaining Adam was judged to have fouled Neymar in the box, who clearly dived. From the resulting penalty Neymar sent McGregor the wrong way to double Brazil's lead. With less than ten minutes remaining, Gary Caldwell made two great interceptions to prevent Neymar from getting a hat-trick. The game finished 2-0, but there was some controversy as after the game Neymar accused the Scotland fans of being racist. The Tartan Army replied by saying it was for the relentless diving and play acting. There was also a banana thrown onto the pitch, but a German tourist later owned up to that.
