Scotland travelled away to Prague for a friendly against an impressive Czech team who topped their group in the Euro 2016 qualifiers. The Czechs piled on the pressure early on and hit the bar after 8 minutes from a Dockal free-kick, and McGregor had to palm away the rebound. Two minutes later, against the run of play, Scotland took the lead. Ross McCormack held the ball up before he played a great ball through to the on running Anya who played a low shot through the keepers legs to give Scotland the lead. The Czechs continued to pile on the pressure and McGregor made saves from a header from Darida and a left foot shot from Frydek. At the start of the second half, debutant Kenny McLean hit a low shot past the left hand post. On the hour mark, substitute Matt Phillips had a header saved from a Snodgrass cross. With 8 minutes remaining, Kolár had a low shot saved in the bottom right corner by McGregor. The game finished 1-0, in what was a credible result for Scotland
