In the top of the table clash, Scotland started very positive, and went ahead after only six minutes. Lyndon Dykes stepped away from his marker, before passing a great ball through to Ryan Fraser to slot a low shot past the keeper. 15 minutes later, the Czechs gave Scotland a scare when Vydra put the ball wide from close range, when he latched on to a cross. A few minutes later, Fraser had a chance to double the lead, but he shot wide after receiving a McGinn pass. Ten minutes later, Fraser had an even better chance that he put over the bar, when he should had hit the target. With just over 20 minutes remaining, McGinn blocked a Kral scot from close range, stopping a certain goal. With 9 minutes remaining, Soucek shot over from close range, when he should have scored. A couple of minutes later Oli McBurnie hit a great shot from outside the box that hit the bar. In injury time David Marshall palmed a shot over the bar, as Scotland saw out their 1-0 victory. This was the first time in 32 years that Scotland had gone eight games undefeated.
