Scotland went into their second game at home to Georgia full of confidence after a good performance away to the World Champions. Scotland's first real chance came after 26 minutes when a passing move ended with Anya having his shot deflected wide.  A minute later Scotland took the lead.  Andrew Robertson played in inswining cross into the box, that the keeper palmed out.  The ball then dropped to Maloney, whose shot deflected off the keeper and the defender, before it rolled in.  It was awarded as an own goal.  Seven minutes before half time, Scotland almost doubled their lead when a Scott Brown shot was deflected just past the post.  Scotland continued to pile on the pressure in the second half, and just after the hour, Naismith had his shot saved after collecting a ball from Hutton.  15 minutes later, Naismith had another chance, but this time he hit a low shot past the post.  A minute later Georgia gave Scotland a fright, when they had a shot go wide, when they should have hit the target.  With seven minutes remaining, Morrison played a one-two with Steven Fletcher before his shot was saved by the keeper.  A 1-0 win was enough to give Scotland their first win in the group.
