Six days after the poor performance against Italy, it was more of the same against France. After only 8 minutes, France were 1-0 up. Bacary Sagna crossed a low ball in from the right for Olivier Giroud to flick a backheel past Marshall. 10 minutes later, Kingsley Coman had a right footed shot from outside the box saved by Marshall. 10 minutes before half time, Dimitri Payet had a shot from outside the box saved by Marshall, but the rebound fell to Giroud, who slotted it home to make it 2-0. Four minutes later it was 3-0, when Laurent Koscielny scored a header from a Patrice Evra assist from a corner. 10 minutes into the second half, Scotland had their best chance of the first half when Anya crossed the ball into the box for Steven Fletcher whose header went out for a throw in. 10 minutes later Paul Pogba hits the post direct from a free kick. With four minutes remaining Steven Naismith had Scotland's best chance of the match, but he shot over the bar. In the last minute, Antoine Griezmann headed the ball over the bar, after he connected with a Bacary Sagna cross. It meant that the game ended 3-0, and Scotland ended the season on a low with two poor performances.
